Donated roller bearings allow Bellheim church tower weather vane to move again

As part of renovation work done on the St. Nikolaus parish church in Bellheim, Germany, Findling Wälzlager GmbH donated new ball bearings for the church tower’s weather vane. A stainless steel design guarantees that the new bearings will last a long time, even if exposed to wind and weather.

“When we were asked to contribute the new ball bearings to the weather vane as part of the church renovation, we immediately said yes,” says Klaus Findling, Findling Wälzlager GmbH’s Managing Director. “We like supporting local municipalities, and the church in Bellheim is of course very close to our company headquarters.”

The weather vane on Bellheim’s church was equipped with new corrosion-resistant, stainless steel deep groove ball bearings, which resist rough and wet weather conditions without a problem. The weather vane is therefore guaranteed to be able to rotate and spin with ease after the church tower’s renovation.

The church tower of the St. Nikolaus catholic parish church from 1873 is currently being renovated from the steeple to the portal. The construction work will continue into mid-2014.
