Rolling bearings for agricultural machinery

Machines are usually used under rough operating conditions in the agricultural sector. The installed components also have to be able to withstand them. As a full-range supplier, Findling Wälzlager GmbH offers effective solutions for manufacturers of agricultural machines and attachments that generate savings.
Tractors, seed drills, harvesters, pesticide spraying implements and soil tillage implements – when out in the field, this equipment has to withstand mud, dust, corrosion, vibrations and external mechanical influences. Climate parameters such as huge temperature differences, rain or drought need to be taken into account during the development phase. Environmental requirements and cleanliness play a big role here, just like everything else used in food production. This requires roller bearings that work cleanly and efficiently. Bearing types frequently used in agricultural machines include deep-groove ball bearings, angular contact ball bearings and tapered roller bearings, as well as, in particular, housing bearing units. They consist of a gray cast iron or punched sheet metal housing with a bearing insert and are a comparatively simple but effective and reliable technical solution for outdoor use with low speed requirements. They are also characterized by their ease of installation. Various combinations of housings and bearing inserts, and thus suitable variants for the different bearing positions, are available both in plummer block and flange bearing designs. We also have particularly small and lightweight or nearly maintenance-free products. Track rollers for high radial loads and impact loading with an extra thick-walled outer ring are also commonly used for “green” applications. They have proven useful, for example, in implements such as rotary rakes. The bearing interior, which is equipped with non-contact seals guided in a groove, are protected from contamination when crops like hay or straw are being gathered. At the same time, the impact on the environment is reduced thanks to lower grease leakage.
Depending on the individual operating conditions, bearings in customized designs with special seals or greasing and installed in special housings are recommended. Aside from seals and lubricants, corrosion resistance is another important characteristic for agricultural machinery components. Roller bearings and metal parts that are directly exposed to the influence of moisture or corrosive media such as rainwater, plant protection products or agricultural manure need to be protected accordingly. Regular cleaning with high-pressure washers should not be forgotten either. From push-off trailers to rotary tillers, the list of agricultural equipment and machinery is long. The bearing assemblies and the required bearings used therein types, which result from the respective performance and operating requirements, are just as diverse. Against this background, Findling relies on diversification and offers users from the agricultural industry everything they need from a single source in the four ABEG® performance classes, Premium, Supra, Eco and EasyRoll. The multi-manufacturer portfolio includes over 22,000 types of roller bearings in many different designs and from all around the world. The ABEG® method classifies them according to performance characteristics and price levels and makes it possible to compare products quickly. There are therefore technically suitable bearing types in different performance classes, which shows users alternatives in the procurement process and makes a cost-effective selection possible.
