Corrosion doesn’t stand a chance
The problem: Optimum corrosion protection, very high hygiene standards, resistance to aggressive chemicals and cleaning agents, high load capacity and load rating, reliable sealing technology, a low price and a short delivery time: these requirements for roller bearings used in applications in moist, corrosive or aggressive chemical environments have hardly been met all at once until now. The solution usually consisted of expensive, hard to acquire products or custom solutions.
The solution: Xclean series ABEG® roller bearings. For this purpose, proven Supra class bearing technology was identified with the most suitable materials and tested on the test rig under the harshest conditions. The decisive factor for a long service life in this area is cleanliness – Xclean roller bearings have to offer a maximum service life and excellent corrosion protection, even in the case of small dirt particles. In order to optimally meet these requirements, the materials most suited for the specific application, consisting of stainless steel, ceramics or plastic, and coatings to protect against corrosion and reduce wear, were selected and combined with the most suitable sealing technology. Since ABEG® products are technically and economically optimum solutions, Xclean high-performance bearings are significantly less expensive than similar premium or special bearings. Furthermore, customers are no longer forced to acquire costly product properties that they don’t even need with standard premium bearings.
Practicality guaranteed
Xclean series bearings have a higher service life in applications under moist, corrosive ambient conditions. This includes outdoor applications, automotive applications, and machines and systems used in the production and packaging of pharmaceutical products or food. Furthermore, Xclean offers special solutions for aggressive chemical environments, as well as clean room and vacuum applications. The bearings coated to protect against corrosion provide:

As standard practice, we supply corrosion-resistant rolling bearings made of the materials AISI420 and AISI440C.
AISI316L is also optionally available as a material, as well as hybrid bearings with stainless steel outer rings and ceramic balls.
Deep-groove ball bearings made of stainless steel have the suffix "-SS" for "stainless steel" and hybrid bearings have the prefix “HY”.

Optimally protected
Rough operating conditions call for good seals that protect the interior of the bearing. In addition to a long service life, low friction is also required for the best possible energy efficiency. That is why Xclean series bearings are equipped with double lip seals guided in a groove. They provide an excellent sealing effect and reliably prevent the penetration of coarse to medium-sized dirt particles.
Longer service life thanks to optimized sealing technology
The better the seal, the fewer foreign bodies can penetrate into the bearing interior. This improves the eC value of the extended service life calculation and, as a consequence, the service life.
Our tip: In cases of severe contamination, even the best materials are hardly able to permanently improve the service life. It is therefore preferable to invest in the highest quality sealing technology instead of in expensive premium products with standard seals.
