Split plummer block for self-aligning ball bearings and spherical roller bearings
Split plummer blocks have a housing with a removable cover so that they can be combined with the right roller bearing in accordance with the requirements. A classic combination consists of an SNK housing with a conical spherical roller bearing, an adapter sleeve, with or without locating rings, and a seal washer set. An end cap can also be used as an alternative to a seal.
The components each have to be purchased and assembled individually, meaning that these products result in high installation costs. For this reason, ready-to-mount SRU spherical roller bearing units are the “modern” version.

Technical information
The initial lubrication must take place upon installation of the roller bearings. The housings have a lubrication nipple, which can be used to relubricate them for maintenance purposes. If necessary, additional lubrication holes can be added at various points. This also applies to oil and grease drainage openings.
Housings are made of gray cast iron according to EN-GIL-200/250 as standard. If higher strength properties are required, housings according to EN-GJS-400/450/500 are available.
Housings made of steel sheet are supplied in a galvanized finish as standard. On request, we also offer them with a bright finish for customized coating/painting.
