Findling Wälzlager has invested in a new digital microscope that makes optical 2D and 3D measurements with a measurement resolution of 0.05 µm possible. The microscope can visualize roller bearing surfaces in 3D and magnify them 2000x. This allows processes in quality assurance, damage analysis, and complaint management to be optimized and accelerated.

As the world’s leading manufacturer of braking systems for railway and utility vehicles, Knorr-Bremse has once again named Findling Wälzlager GmbH its “preferred supplier.” The partnership between the two companies is currently focusing on the global procurement of high-quality roller bearing technology. Knorr-Bremse uses Findling’s roller bearings in a series of applications involving rail transport systems, and the scope of delivery is steadily increasing.

Roller bearing donation

Findling Wälzlager donated a total of 50 deep-groove ball bearings to the young researchers of the Academic Aviators (Akademische Fliegergruppe - Akaflieg) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The noise-tested bearings in electric motor quality are used in the prototype development of the new AK-X glider.

Successful certification

TÜV Süd has certified Findling Wälzlager GmbH as one of the first companies in the roller bearing industry in accordance with the latest standards for quality and environmental management: DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015. No deviations were identified during the audit. Thanks to being well-prepared, Findling Wälzlager even received numerous positive comments.

Ball bearings for weather vane

As part of renovation work done on the St. Nikolaus parish church in Bellheim, Germany, Findling Wälzlager GmbH donated new ball bearings for the church tower’s weather vane. A stainless steel design guarantees that the new bearings will last a long time, even if exposed to wind and weather.
